Special Electric Heat
Availability:
Available to all members that meet the following criteria.
Type of service:
Single phase, 60 cycle, at available secondary voltage.
Monthly Rate:
Meter Charge: $2.00
Energy Charge: $.048/kwh plus applicable taxes
Effective Date:
The Special Electric Heat Rate shall be effective until the rate is rescinded by Basin Electric.
Specifications:
- The electric heating installation must be a permanent electric resistance and/or heat pump space heating system in a residence or commercial building. This policy does not apply to electric heat storage installations.
- The electric heating installation must be separately metered for energy usage.
- The member shall furnish the metering equipment with the Cooperative furnishing the meter.
- The Special Electric Heat Rate shall be applicable for the billing periods of October thru April.
Terms of payment:
The above charges are net. Payment of the bill is due ten days after the bill is printed and sent. All accounts not paid by due date shall pay one and one half percent late charge on the unpaid balance of the account, minimum penalty of one dollar ($1.00).
