Rebates and Incentives
If you are building a new home or are thinking about replacing your current heating system, you may be eligible to receive rebates through Traverse Electric as follows:
Installation of 8000 watts or more of electric resistance heating:
Baseboard, Plenum heater, Ceiling cable and Fan forced
- Dual fuel rate is 4.4 cents. To qualify for the dual fuel rate, member must have a fossil fuel backup.
- Uncontrolled electric rate is 5.2 cents.
- Meter, socket, C.T., and receiver furnished by Traverse Electric
- Submeter charge per month is $2.00
Installation of 4000 watts or more electric storage:
Floor cable Cabinet storage
- Dual fuel is 4.4 cents. No backup system is needed.
- Meter, socket, C.T., and receiver furnished by Traverse Electric
- Submeter charge per month is $2.00
Installation of heat pumps:
Air to air or ground source system - 2 ton or larger
- Heat Pumps with SEER rating of 13 or less - $400 Rebate
- Heat Pumps with SEER rating of 14 or more - $600 Rebate
- Dual fuel is 4.4 cents. To qualify for the dual fuel rate, member must have a fossil fuel backup.
- Uncontrolled electric rate is 5.2 cents
- Meter, socket, C.T., and receiver furnished by Traverse Electric
- Submeter charge per month is $2.00
